She glided through the trees, and scampered around bushes.
She beckoned, with a twinkle in her eyes.
I followed, blindly. Not caring where she led, longing only the destination.
"Come and see the most amazing thing" she crooned.
We sprinted around a small gnoll, and came upon that most amazing of things. She was there, leaning against the most ancient tree I had ever seen. Beautiful beyond description.
I went up to her and grabbed her hand. "Who are you?" I said.
"Destiny" she whispered and pulled me into the heart of that ancient tree.
The dryad and I were one for countless ages.
